OldNews

OldNews v1.1.2010

OldNews is a newsfilter that works in MetaTrader's backtester.
It is using a news database in ForexFactory's format, dated from 02.January 2006 up to nowadays.

Main features:
- Works in backester, reads old news from file and telling it to the calling EA if one or more events are nearby
- Adjustable GMT offset to ensure accurate operating
- Adjustable time interval before/after news event announcement time for early sensing and after-effect avoiding
- After-time extension for "Speaks" events in order to avoid too early resuming of trading
- Three-level impact sensing (High, Medium, Low)
- Custom impact sensing by searching certain keywords in news events' descriptions
- Scanning news for currencies of a pair of the chart only or forcing other currencies' event detection

The package contents:
- a pdf manual
- a sample EA with the OldNews() function and its external settings
plus a little example of how to call it in EAs
- a news file called AllOldNews.csv which contains news from 02.01.2006 to 20.08.2010
All of these are stored in the correct directory structure of a MetaTrader4 program.
